The World Economic Forum is a tax exempt "Foundation" founded in 1971 by Klaus Schwab and mostly funded by it's 1,000 member multi-national companies. The WEF has advocated that the worlds population should sustain on protein sourced from insects rather than animal protein arguing that our consumption of animal protein is the source of greenhouses gas and climate change. The World Economic Forum and its annual meeting in Davos have received criticism over the years, including allegations of the organization's corporate capture of global and democratic institutions, institutional whitewashing initiatives, the public cost of security, the organization's tax-exempt status, unclear decision processes and membership criteria, a lack of financial transparency, and the environmental footprint of its annual meetings. It seems that the public should be more aware of this organization and their policies should be more scrutinized. They wish to dictate how the masses operate and survive. Their own website declares "In the future you will own nothing and be happy". They are increasingly perceived as a detached elite and have face much criticism for the ideas they develop, propagate, and seem intent on bringing to fruition. Please educate yourself on the World Economic Forum, to form your own conclusions.
They REALLY do want the bulk of the population to eat insects, but of course consider themselves above such constraints. The hypocrisy is one of the greatest problems as they exacerbate the growing inequalities and gaps in wealth.
