Open Editions: End of Winter

Snow Monkeys enjoy the thermal hot springs ! The famous Japanese Macaques (Nihonzaru in Japanese). I'm personally in South Texas, and we are fully in Spring; although there is still snow in the Northern half of the USA and many other parts of the world. The Vernal Equinox was on March 20th this year. Which officially marks the 'Start of Spring' according to the 'Astronomical Start Date' which is based on the position of the Sun in relation to the Earth. The March Equinox marks the sun’s crossing above the Earth’s equator, moving from South to North. This is not to be confused with the 'Meteorological Start Date' that is based on our 12-month civil calendar as well as the annual temperature cycle.
