Peter Max was a talented and celebrated artist. I don't know if Peter Max was his given name, or a pseudonym he chose after starting his art career. It sounds like a porn star name to me... Perhaps it was a sly allusion to inform those he met that he was not only blessed with the gift of art and creativity, but perhaps he was also gifted in the pants.
