Open Editions: Alone Together

I went out with friends to a nice dinner, and everyone was paying attention to their phone and not each other. Sad commentary on modern life. Perhaps we could make an agreement that a live person in front of you takes precedence over a phone call, or certainly a text. Remember when we had answering machines, and everyone wasn't expected to respond immediately? It would seem to add stress. I guess everyone wants that dopamine hit of a notification sound ! Did someone like my post ? I better look RIGHT NOW !!! Oh, just an update to an app <sad face>
