Open Editions: Interplanetary Species Bearing Gifts

Might be a good time for visitors from another planet to come along and help save us from ourselves. Presumably if they could travel from another planet they would be more advanced, and hopefully more civilized. It seems if they wanted us all to be gone, we already would be. Presumably that implies they're benevolent. I, for one, welcome our alien overlords. We are not doing a great job on our own. Corruption, greed, vanity, ego are our frailties and stumbling blocks. The movie 'Idiocracy' is becoming a documentary, and seems to show the path we are heading down. They say ignorance is bliss, but not this time, i'm afraid ! The masses, and especially the youth need to wake up. Before history repeats itself yet again. Think of all the once great civilizations that came before us and have fallen: Aztecs, Mayans, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Anasazi, and many more I'm sure. If we take the time to get to know our fellow man we have much more in common than we have differences.
