Roscoe loved when his favorite TV show would come on, he'd run around in circles, and jump on the sofa barking for us to come to the living room to watch "Quackers" with him. Pets become a part of the family and we include them in so many activities. Rabbit ears for Easter, Santa hat for Christmas.... or maybe that's just us. Like kids, the more time you spend with them, the more they learn and pick up. We can't say 'treat' or 'outside' without our current pupper 'Tizzy' going bonkers, so will spell words, and now she can spell also and still know what we're saying. She's blind and when I walk her as we approach a curb I will say "step" and she knows to lift her feet higher and looks like a strutting Clydesdale marching or a show pony prancing. One of my moms dogs had ear problems and skin allergies, and she needed a special diet, and over time it turned into my mom would scramble her an egg in the morning, and steam some rice, and boil some chicken in the afternoon... hahaha, not sure if any go to those lengths with their pets, but I some people would be surprised how pampered some pets are. I'm afraid if my mom had gotten a cocker spaniel before having kids I might not be talking to you now ! :)
