Hatches: The lizard

Without attachment, Nothing is taken from the world, Observe the wise, With his attentive gaze.

All these straight lines, Form various paths, Only fools, Don't feel it.

Words are games, The trap of make-believe, Silence brings the gift, And the sitting lizard, He lights his pipe.

With a peaceful gaze, He understands the void found in nothingness, There is relativity in time, It borders on insanity, From so much knowledge.

The lizard is a woodcut print produced in a woodcut matrix. Was printed manually on Japanese paper. The illustration was made from the text of the description in Portuguese and adapted to English. All the images of the hatches collection are all made directly on wood, there are no drafts or studies.
