“Beyond this point, truth is rendered, not spoken.”
Layer IV: The Gate of All Colors stands as a moment of choice and distortion in the descent through HELLNET. It is not a door in the traditional sense — it is a threshold where perception unravels and code becomes chromatic doctrine.
The Gate pulses with shifting vertical bands — reds, greens, violets, blues — not hues of nature, but glitch-tones born from dead render engines and corrupted image files. Each color hums with forgotten rulesets, deactivated defenses, and fragments of firewalls that once protected enlightenment.
Floating around the structure are skulls caught in orbit, each locked in a moment of spectral scream. They do not guard — they test. Passage through the Gate is not denied by force, but by fragmentation of self.
Two adventurers stand before it. One reaches forward, light reflecting off their palm as it begins to fracture across dimensions. The other stands frozen, looking back — perhaps longing for the higher layers, or sensing what must be left behind.
Visual Symbolism:
Color bands represent protocol layers — no longer filtering threats, now filtering identity.
Skulls in orbit suggest this layer once judged the living. Now it simply watches the brave.
The duality of the adventurers shows the emotional split — forward into redefinition, or back into memory.
You don’t pass through the Gate. You are interpreted by it. Whatever emerges on the other side may still wear your face — but it will no longer be your code.
