The Art When we first spoke with Ryan he was using the alias Blind Chronicles. Ryan is a typically traditional artist whose medium in pencil and watercolor on paper expresses his love of travel and places he feels he may never see in person. In the quiet sanctuary of his studio, where colors speak louder than words, resides Ryan, a remarkable blind watercolor artist whose fingertips dance over textured paper, translating the world's beauty through his senses. Using Google Earth street views to travel the world and converting what he sees with an intuitive understanding of light and shadow, he captures landscapes and old-world city views with unparalleled depth and emotion. His unique perspective on the world comes from the loss of sight in one eye and slowly losing the sight in his second eye. Ryan uses his condition as motivation to create as much art as he can, before he simply can't anymore drawing inspiration from sounds of the areas he paints. Through his art, Ryan transports viewers to distant lands and bygone eras, evoking nostalgia and wonder. His paintings are a testament to the resilience of creativity, proving that even in darkness, one can illuminate the world with vibrant hues and timeless scenes.
In the ethereal glow of the moonlit night, a majestic steam train emerges from the darkness, its billowing plumes of smoke trailing behind like wisps of ghostly whispers. The luminous aura of the moon casts a serene radiance upon the scene, illuminating the intricate details of the landscape. Inside the locomotive is a scene reminiscent to an ad for a morning radio show “The Night Train With the Fox and The Bear on WX8BK, Choo Choo!” Outside the window, the landscape rushes by in a blur of muted colors, painting a mesmerizing tableau of moonlit forests and winding rivers. The night air is alive with the symphony of nature's nocturnal melodies, as the train thunders on towards its unknown destination. The boys on the train never need a destination as long as the bar car is stocked and the guests are lively, let the track wander through the landscape of conversation.
