NEXT LA: Seeing like a River

Seeing like a River was hallucinated by a custom Stable Diffusion model that was trained on historic images of the Los Angeles river and flashy renderings proposed in the LA River Revitalization scheme heralded by architect Frank Gehry. Across the video’s duration, the snaking path of the river morphs across post-urban landscapes that bristle with ecological life.
