Ones: Metamorphosis of Thalassa

Concept:

"The Metamorphosis of Thalassa" delves into the idea of infinite transformation and the fluidity of existence. Inspired by the personification of the sea in Greek mythology, the piece explores the symbolism of duality and constant change. Through a representation of coexisting chaos and serenity, it invites reflection on the cyclical nature of life and the ability of beings to change, adapt, and be reborn in unexpected ways. It is a meditation on how the unknown and the hidden intertwine in creation, reminding us of the beauty and mystery of that which is in constant motion and transformation.

Creation Process:

"The Metamorphosis of Thalassa" was developed starting with an atonal musical composition with a cinematic style. Experimental videos were produced using milk, black ink, and detergent to capture organic patterns and textures. Based on the key concepts of the work, images were generated using artificial intelligence. These videos were then used with ComfyUI to animate the AI-generated images. Finally, the resulting videos were edited, and color grading was applied in After Effects, blending experimental and digital techniques to create a visually striking piece.
