Latin Calligraphy: This too shall pass

This unique artwork of mine features calligraphy (copperplate style) blended with watercolor painting. This original work is on paper.

“This too shall pass” is a Persian adage translated and commonly used in multiple languages. It reflects on the temporary nature of the human condition.

The phrase has its roots in the writings of medieval Persian Sufi poets such as Rumi and Fariduddin Attar.
