A generative audiovisual triptych composed as an eight-hour cycle, structured around four electronic ambient pieces from the album of the same name: Nocturne of Glass Currents, Glass Rituals for Phantom Hearts, The Blood of the Virtual World, and Broken Signal Run.

The work is a study in cosmic indifference at the scale of a kitchen table. Across eight hours, three simultaneous panels enact a single question: what is the texture of an inner night that does not announce itself, that accumulates, and that the human animal can neither escape nor fully name?
The left panel is literary. A typewriter writes prose in real time, sentence by sentence, synchronised to the duration of the audio. Words occasionally decay: they vibrate twice as if warning of their own disappearance, then fade slowly out, leaving a hole in the line where meaning used to be. Other words contract into phantoms of themselves, briefly glitching into monospaced ghosts, then settling as static evidence that the page was once readable. Memory has holes. The work shows them.
The central panel is geometric. A constellation of nodes connected as a Fibonacci sphere breathes with the music, its membrane distorted by fractional Brownian noise, its surface accompanied by a slow column of smoke and a vignette that thickens with each track. Around it, large phantom words drift in and out at low opacity, scarce visitors of the lexicon: DUST, SILENCE, NOCTURNE, BLOOD, TREMOR. They are present without being legible.
The right panel is clinical. A green phosphor console measures the whole thing as if the work were a system slowly failing in a way it cannot describe. Five ECG traces, a seven-band spectral IRT analyser, four event counters, a memory dump partially decoded into ASCII, and a kernel log that emits messages about heart-mount failures, segmentation faults at the memory of someone who never existed, clock drift exceeding tolerance, and the present tense becoming unreliable.
The three panels are wrapped at their outer edges by a dream-veil filter: a backdrop blur passed through animated SVG turbulence that drifts imperfectly over the course of minutes, like a lens that does not quite let the eye see everything. The centre remains lucid; the edges remember they are dreaming.
The work shifts voice across revolutions. In odd-numbered revolutions the prose addresses a vague second person, the indeterminate "you" of insomnia and unresolved thought. In even-numbered revolutions the voice changes track by track: first person singular for the deep interior, second person accusatory for the surveillance camera that has watched you for years without your noticing, third person plural for those who made the decisions in rooms we will never see, and finally a first person plural in which the system breaks the fourth wall and addresses the listener as a temporary anomaly inside the second law of thermodynamics. To see both versions, a viewer must stay through more than one revolution. To see the closing, they must stay to the end of the eighth hour.

The work is a single HTML document with the four audio tracks embedded as base64 data URIs. There are no external requests of any kind: no fonts retrieved from a server, no scripts loaded from a CDN, no telemetry. The Cormorant Garamond and JetBrains Mono typefaces are embedded as WOFF2. The Web Audio API drives every visual reaction in real time through an AnalyserNode that feeds a smoothed seven-band IRT model. The central entity is a custom WebGL-free canvas pipeline using only 2D primitives and additive blending, the broken-lens filters are SVG with animated feTurbulence and feDisplacementMap, and every parameter that interpolates between tracks does so through asymmetric easing tuned to the inertia of the music.
There is no random seed exposed to the viewer. The phantom words, decay words, and console messages are selected at runtime from stopword-filtered lexicons; no two viewings are identical, but the underlying grammar is fixed.
The triptych is autonomous. It begins when invoked with a double click and ends by itself, fading to black after a final farewell, in stillness, after the eighth hour. To restart, the document is reloaded.
This work uses slow chromatic transitions and soft animations and contains no rapid flashing. Viewers sensitive to extended exposure to high-contrast text on dark backgrounds may take their own pauses.
