An experimental collection, that allows me to find the perfect balance between amplitudes, distances, proportions, as I prepare for a color version, and an Opepen version.
Each attempt is worth being considered as "art", and each "artwork" is nothing but a step, an attempt.
In this collection, the speed of the animation slows down by e's 17th root (Neper's number = e = 2.71828), which is 1.06058806162573. This allows the viewer to appreciate the movements as they become faster and faster. As a result, the number of frames in a video will exponentially reach 310 images and the duration, 6.2 seconds by the end of the collection.
There are a total of 9 items (the base, 7 rings, and 1 cylinder, that move in a sine wave fashion, with frequencies ranging from 1 to 8, which allows the viewer to visually experience what musical polyrythms, but also acoustic harmonics, feel like.
Each NFT is hand-tuned, in terms of the amplitude of movements, but also their relative phase, as I try to highlight interesting plays between light, and shadows.
The videos are generated by hand, one by one (no generative / automation).
