obintown: Through the Gate

The cave dweller takes you and the frug across the lake. You notice his net contains an odd assortment of common objects and trinkets. You pass through the damaged portion of the gate and you see a small camp on the bank nearby - it appears nobody is home. As you step off the boat to investigate, you hear the cave dweller speak behind you, "I require payment." You turn back and consider what you have that will be worth giving up...

Will you give him your money, rope or dagger? You also consider giving nothing because you never agreed on any payment before accepting the ride.
