I see it now— the mist has thinned, the road ahead no longer hides behind the weight of yesterday.
Light leaks in like summer’s breath, warm, electric, pulling me forward. I feel it in my hands, in my voice, in the way my steps no longer echo alone.
I want to move, to do good, to be better.
But the past— it lingers in the quiet hours, a whisper, a bruise, a question I haven’t answered. Should I leave it there, or reach back with open palms?
I am not stuck, just standing in the middle, one foot on what was, one foot on what will be.
And maybe, just maybe, this summer light is the sign to step ahead, to step free, to step full into me.
