The presented work focuses the viewer's attention on a complex visual and conceptual contrast. The impeccably precise, almost sculptural silhouette of the model in black—evoking the codes of high fashion and the portraiture of the Pre-Raphaelites—clashes with the abstract, chaotic element of the background. This blazing orange-red plane, devoid of detail, is read not as a literal sunset, but as a powerful metaphor for global transformation, conflagration, or the end of an era.
The figure of the model becomes an allegory for unchanging, timeless elegance and a kind of bastion of personal dignity in the face of external chaos. Her languid, melancholic gaze expresses not anxiety, but rather a detached acceptance and awareness of her own otherness.
It is noteworthy that the subject of the shoot was my younger sister. This fact adds an additional, intimate layer to the work. The session becomes not merely the creation of an image, but an act of capturing a personal perception—an attempt to capture the model's innate nobility and anachronistic refinement, her timeless beauty, which seems to belong to another, more refined historical period. This artwork explores themes of memory, nostalgia for a time one never lived through, and the search for eternal ideals in a modern context.
