Cassette Tapes: Maiden Queen
What is Lofi? Lofi stands for “low fidelity.” The imperfections of the music are supposed to create a relaxing/calming effect. Often Lofi has elements of 90’s boom-bap, Jazz, and sound design. Truthfully I have wanted to make beats like this for a long time, so I am excited to finally share this with you!
Over the last two years of beat making, I have collected a nice library of recordings (sound packs) of drums. Some of them I purchased, others I recorded myself using my own drum set and other found sounds. I take all the drum samples and load them onto the Elektron Model Samples groovebox/sample sequencer and play it live. That is what you are listening to here. Headphones for the win!
Wishing you a love supreme from the green!
Instruments: Drums, Elektron MS, Spitfire Labs, Conn New Wonder alto saxophone 1921. (101 years old) random samples, Arturia Keystep, *Special thanks to Steinberg for their Lofi Piano.
