Classics recreated: Saint Lucia

Mounted on the back of a white dragon, a mysterious woman who carries a key and an eye suspended over her hand. The dragon turns on itself and roars at the woman. She remains calm, absorbed in the contemplation of the symbols she displays. This work is a recreation of a detail by Giovanni Bellini: "San Zaccaria Altarpiece", where the Virgin is seen enthroned surrounded by four saints. One of them is Santa Lucia. The particular history of this saint places her as the patron saint of sight. "Saint Lucia" oil / canvas 4000 x 2508 px. 300dpi
