Digital Collage: Los Diarios de Motocicleta

Here's a collage made with pictures provided by Ilan Katin. He has let me use his artworks to make collages with, but he also sent me some pictures which I believe he has taken while traveling. He's one of the most traveled people I know and just out of curiosity, I asked AI where these pictures were taken. 1 of them was taken in Oaxaca, Mexico and the other one was taken in Swakopmund, Namibia according to AI. I would've never guessed the latter. I don't even know where Namibia is exactly within the African continent. We take for granted that images like this can be made so easily nowadays, but this would've been pretty difficult to make 20 years ago during the days of analog photography. We might have been starting to take photos digitaly, but to send high resolution photos via the internet would've been difficult and so it might have been a bigger project to pull off which would've been a hurdle big enough for me not to go through with it.
