Digital Collage: NAGISA

This is made from "smörgåsbord" which was minted on Foundation (if you want to see it you'll have to go and check out my Foundation account).

I wasn't planning on it at all, but the way it turned out reminded me of a certain Japanese comedian named Nagisa. She's a very unique character who is unlike anyone else I know of. She is sort of a Yankee character. When I say Yankee, it's not the Yankee that you know of from the US, but it's a term which is used to describe a certain type of people in Japan who are a bit of delinquents and dresses and act a certain way. I'm not sure if Nagisa is really a Yankee or if she uses the stereotype for comedy effect kind of like American comedians making fun of themselves as rednecks for example. Japanese Yankees can be quite annoying or scary, but Nagisa isn't like that. She might look like a Yankee, but her character is "natural" meaning that she doesn't try being funny, but she just is because everything she does or says is weird and funny. I don't think this character I made really captures her, but it reminded me just a bit of Nagisa.
