Digital Collage: SHOCHŪ OMIMAI by Mumbleboy

If it seems like my works lately are a bit messy and chaotic, the weather might be to blame. I'm sure everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere is experiencing unprecedented hot weather, and it's also very true here in Japan. I'm in survival mode and whatever output I can manage, I take gladly. It may not be very precise calculated work, but at the same time, I probably can't make this kind of work at other times of the year. We have had the tradition called "SHOCHŪ OMIMAI" which seems to be dying out, but you send out letters or gifts to friends, relatives, business colleagues, clients, etc. I haven't partaken in this much at all since I've lived overseas for the majority of my life and don't have relations with people who might send greetings to me. The gifts for this might be like fruit jelly ot expensive fruit, stuff that you'd find very appetizing in the Summertime. I don't receive them, but imagining is free and this piece has helped me to do that.
