One of the best and most recognizable hard-hat diving helmets, Mark V was developed and used by US Navy from 1916 to mid 1980's. Initially manufactured by Morse and Schrader, the Mark V was used for all salvage operations, until it was phased out in favor of the Mark 12. It’s still being used for training, educational purposes, and construction works in some parts of the world, such as for underwater welding (the surface-supplied air system provides more room for tools since divers don’t need to carry air tank).
