Incantation

As soon as she saw the crack in the ground she knew right away that was the spot. Descending in the cave, her heart was pounding and she could hear the sound of her heartbeats echoing in the walls and hitting her back, sending waves of chills down her spine.

As she set foot on the undisturbed sand and stepped towards the center where the ray of light dived in the darkness, she suddenly felt the need to stop and go through the steps again.

A sense of fear caught her but there was no time for this. She stood still in the center and reached her arms into the light. As she went on with the incantation a ball of light started to form between her hands, sending ripples of energy in the space around her.

And then, just as she said the last words, it happened. The Ancients came flowing, circling around her. It worked!
