About this work derived around a rabab storyteller or "Tukang Kaba". It’s someone that has memorized and live by the tale of the people of Minangkabau. In "Adat" (cultural) ceremony and festivities they will be summon to chant the Kaba, the tale of the people – some kind of an orally pass down through generations thread of memory kind of thing. Kaba is full of simbols and wisdom, chanted or sung with a rabab from memory like a poem, It's full of rhyme and meaning often not fully understood by young people except the elder of the tribes.
By minting this work to #tezos #tezoscollective #Indotezia #metarupa #virtualexhibition I want to immortalize and give tribute to this form of oral performance art as minangkabau people’s collective memory.
