Photograph of a Chaguaramo and its Parrots

Chaguaramo, mapora or royal palm (Roystonea oleracea) is a species of palm tree native to the Lesser Antilles, Venezuela and Colombia. It is a large plant, up to 40 m tall and highly appreciated for its great ornamental value, which is why it has been cultivated in many countries. This image was taken when hearing noises of parrots that could not understand where they came from, passing under the tree, the shot was taken without noticing two details, first the small moon that could still be seen in daylight and two parrots hiding in their palms.

Fotográfica de un Chaguaramo y sus Loros

Chaguaramo, mapora o palma real (Roystonea oleracea) es una especie de palmera originaria de las Antillas Menores, Venezuela y Colombia. Es una planta de gran porte, de hasta 40 m de altura y muy apreciada por su gran valor ornamental por lo cual ha sido cultivada en muchos países. Esta imagen fue tomada al escuchar ruidos de loros que no se podía entender de donde venían, al pasar por debajo del árbol, se hizo la toma sin percatar dos detalles, la primera la pequeña luna que aun se podía observar a la luz del día y dos loros escondidos entre sus palmas.
