A lie does not begin with deception. It begins with a distance.
Between human perception and the Real, there is always a gap that cannot be fully crossed. Every image, every language, and every certainty emerges within that interval. Falsehood is not simply the opposite of truth; it is one of the ways we attempt to bridge what can never be completely reached.
This triptych does not portray the lie as a moral failure, but as a condition of human existence. It follows the movement from fracture, to distance, and finally to the impersonal reality that remains indifferent to every human claim.
The lie is not merely what conceals reality. It emerges wherever human thought mistakes its own limits for the limits of the Real.
If the first work revealed a fracture in reality, and the second inhabited the distance separating us from it, the final work arrives at a world where the Real no longer bears any relation to the human. The figure persists only as another object within an impersonal reality. (Arranged from left to right)
