Fangs of What Once Lived presents the remains of a demon that cannot die. Stripped to bone, its vessel endures — instinct preserved within a hollow structure.
In water, these entities lose motion. They do not decay, but fall into dormant suspension — their shells left to the quiet indifference of the living world.
Fish may graze their surface, mistaking infernal remains for natural ruin. Yet the demon persists, waiting beyond movement.
A foreboding fragment tied to my demon pentalogy Valerie de Vauclaire.
