tipi-fi: ᓵᑭᐦᐃᐍᐏᐣ sâkihiwêwin “love”
In the center of the tipi are two small figures where I wanted to keep my msg simple and that is to acknowledge the love of a mother and child and perhaps think on not only for the day for truth and reconciliation Sept 30 as below, but throughout the year in healing the loss and generational impacts to many First Nation children and their families related to the TRC
***On September 30, 2021, Queen Elizabeth II, Canada's head of state, issued a message marking the day:
I join with all Canadians on this first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to reflect on the painful history that Indigenous peoples endured in residential schools in Canada and on the work that remains to heal and to continue to build an inclusive society ***
