Solitude of the Storm
Winter winds howl and moan Sitting here all alone Atop the majestic mountain Ice and snow like gentle porcelain
Hours pass and days go by Watching clouds in the sky Solitude and feeling humble Listening to thunder grumble
Within turbulence there is light A thought arises like a sprite Needing not be a lonely soul This is home and I am whole
The chapter I have told so far Of being lonely, like a scar Is not the only tale for spinning My heart opens a change beginning
Reframe this narrative bleak And find a new story to speak Sunlit rays, a chance to grow In this stillness, find a glow
For in this Northern isolation A chance at transformation Focus on cultivating contentment And live in that element
New chapter, bright and bold Of courage, strength, and love untold When the winter storm has passed Emerge anew, and stand steadfast
