The inspiration for this piece began in the small backyard garden of my home in northern Iran a quiet, intimate space where I have planted many rare and unusual flowers, nurturing them with patience and care. Among the most meaningful of these is the Passion Flower, a bloom with a complex structure and unique natural architecture that has always held deep significance for me. The Passion Flower symbolizes endurance, layered identity, growth within complexity, and the harmony between nature and inner order. To me, it represents a mind that blossoms a beauty born from intertwined structures. On the figure’s face rests the MA Knot, a geometric pattern I personally designed in 2021 and brought to life for the first time through handcrafted mirror mosaic work. The MA Knot carries the meaning of “we”, expressing unity, shared identity, and the connection between individuals much like the Passion Flower itself, built from interacting layers and radiant forms.
