“Sway” is a meditation on the fragile fluidity of human emotion. The faceless figure embraces herself with intensity, embodying radical self-love in the face of constant change. Above her, a fragile glass sphere holds water, a luminous jellyfish, the sun, and the moon. The creature cracks its world open, its iridescent tentacles stretching outward, carrying with them the masks of our shifting inner states, joy, fear, anger, exhaustion, boredom, depression, laughter, contentment, astonishment. The sun and the moon were placed deliberately: they echo the cycles of our mental landscapes. Many feel lighter in the morning, touched by a deep sense of contentment, while others sink into heavy despair through the day, only to find themselves re energized with the rise of the moon. These oscillations, subtle or violent, remind us how unstable yet alive human emotion is. The Persian carpet grounds the figure in memory and heritage, while the jellyfish embodies both delicacy and resilience. Each golden mask whispers that every feeling even the darkest ,is part of the precious spectrum of being human. This work reflects what it means to “sway” : To drift between light and shadow, to fracture yet hold, to be carried endlessly by the tides of emotion.
