“Whispers of the Tides” was written as a complimentary piece for the other poem I wrote entitled “Becoming”- both of which were exhibited in the recent Art Fair PH. This expresses the fluidity of the things we process internally and how these strongly influence our worldviews, which in turn affect the way we respond to the different circumstances that we encounter in our individual journeys.
This piece was layered with digital visuals by DedMan. The simple yet stunning animation wrapped around the poem captures the ebb and flow of our own artistic journeys.
Our creative expressions, pursuits and works are outcomes of the things that have gained ground inside of us. And if we allow ourselves to submit to the pursuit of releasing works that resonate a hopeful perspective and intentional inspiration, we leave something behind that can impact a whole generation- the message(s) being carried throughout the seasons of life and will outlive us like the whispers of the tides.
