Open Editions: Angine Préléminaire

Angine Préléminaire is a generative composition produced with JavaScript and p5.js, continuing the research begun in Jeu de Ligne and pushed further in Ligne haute tension. Built from particle trails and flow-field logic, the work layers overlapping zones of parallel lines, grids, and dithered gradients into a dense architectural field that hovers between order and rupture.

The title borrows the medical term for a tightening in the chest, a pressure that builds before we fully register it. What reads as stable from a distance, orderly grids, repeating lines, balanced geometry, quietly accumulates strain beneath the surface. Angine lingers in that blind spot, where familiar patterns still feel intact even as they edge toward fracture.
