GAWD’s 221st release, in celebration of #TRASHART SUMMER SOLSTICE 2024. Featuring Justin Timberlake’s June 2024 Hamptons perp walk. Hand painted, layered, and glitched with *NSYNC’s famous song lyrics ‘Bye Bye Bye’ and the facetious fan art verbiage ‘JT 4EVA’.

Created in Procreate using found web images and released as a 7-Day timed edition exclusively on the Tezos blockchain (Objkt platform) for #TEZTRASH June 2024.

BIO: New York-based GenX artist GAWD grew up with the work of Haring and Warhol and a soundtrack of punk/hardcore music. With roots creating graffiti in the late 1990s followed by the Lowbrow Art movement - published in 2012 alongside other Pop Surrealist digital artists - GAWD adopted the pseudonym in 2014 creating evocative work that brings the street to the studio (and now the blockchain) through paint, typography, pop imagery, and punk sensibility.

GAWD's repurposing of highbrow fashion and luxury imagery (serving as connective cultural tissue) colliding with snarky lowbrow typography fuels bold, brash social commentary with a nihilistic bent. Each work challenges us to question ourselves, the world around us, and our place in it.
