Sheikh's portrait
collection: Whit the wind
Photographer: Edris Mahmudian
In Kurdistan, sheikhs are called Sufism elders. The disciples are Sheikh Darvish. They consider the Sheikh to be the official representative of God. And the dervishes do strange things in the presence of the sheikh, the dervishes consider dancing and listening to God as the best way to communicate with God, and they enter the Khalsa by dancing and listening to music, and these things are done with God's permission. Sheikhs and sheikhs have many disciples and their disciples are complete disciples and subordinates of the sheikh, and their words are the highest words in the eyes of the disciples. Sheikhs have bright faces and long hair. They hide their long hair and take it out during sama' and perform sama' with it.
