Vulcans are not a superstitious bunch, but you might wonder whether this group of friends from the Starfleet class of 1313 (section 13.13) might have considered the value of a healthy bit of superstitious caution. Ironically, they called themselves "the lucky seven". One should not tempt fate, however. That may be an illogical statement, but given the color of their shirts, I think we can all agree that the best course of action for them would have been to accept unexciting assignments such as mess hall server, or inspector of unpowered objects lacking sharp edges.
