When the Covid19 Pandemic had just begun, I was living my best life in Peru on what should have been a two week trip. Due to the increasing worries and their already compromised healthcare system, Peru had decided to shut down their borders and lockdown the country. Leaving me stranded abroad for an unexpected 5 weeks in Cusco, Peru.
The government had deployed their army to patrol the streets as the only reasons you could be on the streets were to get groceries or go to the pharmacy. You weren't even aloud to drink a beer anymore!
Obviously frustrated and caught off guard, I slowly accepted my faith and decided to make the best of the situation. I started going to the grocery stores and pharmacies with my camera a couple times a day.
By doing so, I was able to capture the mundane activities of the ghost town. This is a picture of one of the hundred gas delivery people zooming down the empty streets, as they were the only ones who had a right to navigate Cusco during the Lockdown.
