pØ3t1c$: Concrete POEM

Inspired by the famous LOVE sculptures of Robert Indiana, "Concrete POEM" derives from a series of interactive environments, "Teardown Poems," I made as downloadable content for the simulation game Teardown in 2023. "Teardown Poems" are, in part, about bringing the materials-driven ethos of concrete poetry into the virtual realm, where language can be broken and remade instantaneously. "Concrete POEM" moves in the opposite direction, emphasizing the apparent weightiness and permanence of language and imagery that has passed in the virtual realm of the collective consciousness.
