Lightness of Being: If I Begged the Sky

If I Begged the Sky is my contribution to all bravehearts in the world.
The painting process of the physical artwork was an incredible journey and took more than two months, gone through several total transformation stages and won several art prizes as the finalist of the show.

About the artist Ilze Egle is a contemporary artist based in Latvia, MA of Fine Arts, member of the Latvian Union of Artists. Ilze paints, draw and creates illustrations working mostly in oil and mixed media. She often incorporates drawing in her paintings. Her latest artwork consists of large-scale oil portrait paintings on wood panels, in which she aims to convey the beauty and the power of human emotions by merging the abstract and figurative. Ilze holds European Diploma in Cultural Project Management; she spent a year living with nuns in France and studied art in Italy. She participates in group and solo shows and holds visual arts classes. Since 2016 Ilze has been a freelance artist. Ilze believes that art can change the world and feels blessed for being part of it.
