Our soul is our refuge. We spend our whole life in contact with the outside, building our defenses day by day, ever since we are just born. The real strength of a person is to leave a door open, a great door. We must be able to defend ourselves but we have an obligation to let people in with the form of emotions, we must filter feelings by empathizing every single thing around us.
Our character is a kind of crystalline armor, through which the light can filter and the people close to us can reach deep into our being. It can get dirty, it can be washed several times but it will carry every little dent along the way and as good as we are at sealing the cracks they will stay with us forever. This is the importance of knowing how to accept ourselves and above all to accept others, respecting their being different, avoiding all sorts of marginalization and bullying.
Each one shines with the light of HIS colors.
