Standing at the bus stop, A solitary figure in the crowd, Lost in thoughts, in dreams, in fears, And feelings spoken not aloud.
The city's noise, the hustle-bustle, All fades away into the night, As I stand here, waiting patiently, For the vehicle that's out of sight.
The streetlights glow a gentle yellow, Illuminating the pavement underfoot, As I watch the endless flow of traffic, And the people who pass me, foot by foot.
The cold wind tugs at my coat, But I don't mind, I don't feel the chill, For I'm lost in the world within, A place where time stands still.
And then at last, the bus arrives, And I climb aboard with a sigh, Ready to leave the bus stop behind, And journey on, beneath the starry sky.
