Natural microcosmos inside my body: my heart. My heart is inhabited by a varied fauna. A small blind mole that burrows into the depths and digs, digs without stopping. A hare always ready to leap to catch up or escape. A tortoise and a snail reminding me to take my time getting there. And a swallow that comes and goes to remind me of my freedom to wander. Among the throbbing lilies of the valley, every beat, I am alive.
