Let the Harpy Rise: Ghazyris

Ghazyris was born from the leap of the True Gazelle and the shimmer of the Cinnyris osea. A chimera of endurance and resistance, she carries resilience in her bones and freedom in her wings. A guardian of memory, she bears witness to suffering, standing firm against erasure and calling for freedom.

Ghazyris is part of #ArtForHumanity3 in solidarity with Palestinians. All profits earned will be split between Save The Children and the Sameer Project. #ArtForHumanity3

This virtual sculpture is one of many elements within a larger, evolving body of work tied to my ongoing research project "Becoming Chimeric". While this iteration is offered as a singular 3D sculpture (.html) with AR capabilities, it is both artwork and foundational fragment, a base element from which future versions will emerge and take form in other artworks. Glitched and chimeric by nature, the work resists fixity and embraces continual becoming.
