We were fucked.
There was no place to hide.
A squad of pink cars had pulled up with heavily armed men pouring out. All firing right at us.
What the hell is with these people and damn pink!
The shooting continued as we tried to hide behind the sparse tree cover. But it was no use. I emptied my revolver, returning fire. The uniformed officers with me did the same, but we were losing men left and right. It was a bloodbath.
Finally, with the sound of sirens getting closer, the attackers left. As I got a chance to breathe, I realized I was in incredible pain. I brought my hand to my abdomen. Blood.
As the adrenaline wore off, I realized what was happening: I was left for dead.
I fell over, my head light.
I looked up at the clouds.
We don’t look up enough.
And then...I blacked out.
