5/5. So in the reds I wandered. I added some blue areas. I filled some more white zones with greens. And I have to say I'm proud I managed to stop there, for real. It wasn't an easy balance to find and decision to make. To leave some untouched white zones in this Greek sea, and some awkward red volutes. The upper part of the painting was considered as finished.
On the forefront, I painted in a detailed way the suntanned skin and the water drops on it. Those 2 arms are the only 2 parts of that painting that are worked in a realistic way.
And I liked it like that. After a few days , I thought it would be time to sign it and call it a wrap.
That's when I had this strange idea of bringing some yellow in the white water reflections close to the leg. Because why not. I did it. They are in the final painting. A piece that had a pretty cool life by the way: It won a Jury award at the Salon d'Automne in Paris. The French art magazine "Univers des Arts" dedicated a double page to it. Then it got listed in a new gallery based in Honfleur. A few days afterward which it reached its new home.
So this painting you see here doesn't exist in the real world. It only exists here. Without those last yellow touches...
