Amor... ¿No sientes frío?
A tribute in the form of a animated illustration to one of my favourite Cuban poets, Dulce María Loynaz. It is not fortuitous that I chose this poem, at this time. Love can visit us unexpectedly, even when we think it is too late. To that love that comes when we are no longer so young, I also dedicate this piece.
Ballad of late love
‘Love that comes late, bring me at least peace: Love of late afternoon, why strayed why stray on your way to my solitude?
Love that you have sought me without seeking you, I don't know what's worth more: the word you are going to say to me or the one I don't say anymore...
Love... Don't you feel cold? I am the moon: I have the white death and the truth far away... -Don't give me your fresh roses; I am grave for roses. Give me the sea...
Love you're late, you didn't see me yesterday when I was singing in the wheat field... Love of my silence and my tiredness.., don't make me cry today.’
-Dulce Ma. Loynaz.
