When my thoughts start to race, And worries take up space, There's one thing that puts me at ease, My brush strokes and colors that please.
Painting abstract pieces of art, Helps numb the anxious part, Of my mind that won't calm down, But with each stroke, I lose the frown.
I mix and blend colors with care, Creating something that I can share, The canvas becomes my escape, A place where my mind can reshape.
With each stroke that I take, I feel the anxiety start to break, The colors and patterns blend, Bringing solace from start to end.
My body feels calm and free, A weight that's lifted off of me, Painting abstract art is my therapy, A way for my anxiety to be history.
