Violet Bond for Achetez de l'Art, PARIS: Ashes to ashes

I enjoy that this piece evokes the sense of a skeleton, as if one can discern the bones beneath the surface, revealing what is hidden by flesh. I can almost sense the time lapse unfolding in my mind, slowly witnessing the skin and flesh decay, eventually leaving only the bare bones on the red earth, etched by the sun—a sculpture of a soul.

Made on Dalabon country in the Northern Territory, Australia. I pay my respect to the Traditional Owners of the land and their Elders, past, present and emerging.
