"Survival of the fittest" was an idea that phased trough many iterations trough the rapid degradation of the human race and society in the post nuclear wasteland.

Before the War rich people had all the power, power that disappeared in a blink... Strong brutes with fight skills had their momentary peak, still it was quick given up to the smarty people who could tinker useful gadgets. They became "the fittest" for few decades, but their time also passed as not enough was left to tinker... With time the knowledge, we knew as genetics slowly became the preaches of god Gene. God Gene created some people fit for the wasteland. Rare individuals, who could get stronger in any environment, resilient to work, exhaustion, dehydration, infections and even radiation, became "the fittest". The unlucky others - they become servants and organ donors ... except the rare survivors and even more unlucky vessels of the AB blood group. Those poor souls, who somehow survived while being the most prone to illness, just to be hunted in an attempt to purge AB blood group and "make people stronger" - Statement extracted by one of the multiple orders of God Gene.

The AB blood was not even worth for transfusions or experiments. It was collected in the wasteland in a barbaric way just to be used for entertainment purposes in the fancy rituals of the chosen wearers of Blood type 0 and ZNF511-PRAR1 gene.
